Map & Layout Redesign

A deep dive map of the Universal Orlando Resorts 2nd theme park: Islands of Adventure. This reimagined layout updates the current lands and attractions while staying true to the current constraints and operations of the park.

Retail, dining, restrooms, atrractions and infistructure are all detailed within the map.

Map Scale and Foundation:

Up to date satellite imagery of the park was used as a design foundation to stay accurate and to scale.

Constraints:

Limited amount of land available.
Realistic budget (everything can't be rebuilt from scratch).
Realistic timeline (this is a multi year plan that allows the park to function while sections are worked on).
Stay true to the parks over arching literature theme.

Analyzing Current Offerings

Determine where the park needs improvement by analyzing each land individualy and asking:

Is anything outdated?
What is or is not connecting with guests?
Are there types of attractions that are missing from the current offerings?
Is there room for expansion or unused space?
